Wesley Ray Morgan, 83, of Danville passed Jan. 9 at his home. He was born Aug. 5, 1933, in Richardsville, KY to Owen and Icy (Davenport) Morgan. Wesley graduated from Richardsville High School. After high schol he joined the army, serving his country in the Korean War. In 1955, Wesley married Virginia Lee Cowles in Robertson County, Tenn. They later moved to Indianapolis where he worked for GM-Allison Transmission as a machine repair specialist. Wesley and Virginia later moved to Danville and in 1968 they had a daughter, Pamela Ann. After 24 years of service he retired from his job in 1993. He was a member of Bartlett Chapel United Methodist Church. Services will be at Weaver & Randolph Funeral Home Danville at 2 p.m. Jan. 12 with visitation there at noon until time of service. Burial will be at Maple Hill Cemetery, Plainfield. Survivors include his wife of 61 years, daughter Pamela, 3 grandchildren, 1 godchild, 1 great godchild, and nephew Nelson (Sandy) Neighbors of Avon.
