Albert S. Mikolasek, 95 of Avon passed away June 5. He was born July 16, 1921 in Hillsboro, IL the son of the late Frank and Francis Mikolasek. He served our country in the US Army during W.W.II and an engineer for Conrail. He was a former member of Speedway United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine N. Mikolasek and brother, Adolph Mikolasek. He is survived by two daughters, Carol (Bernard) Springman and Mary T. (John) Walls; a son, John A. (Debbie) Mikolasek; stepsons, Jon R. (Kathy) Stanton and Rick W. (Jan) Stanton; brother, Frank (Alice) Mikolasek; 4 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday June 12, 2017 at Conkle Funeral Home Avon Chapel with visitation from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Crown Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society of the American Heart Association.
