Ronald Ferguson McCormick, 80, of Danville, Indiana formerly of Pensacola Florida passed away Wednesday, August 30, at his residence.
Ron was born in Buffalo, New York on September 22, 1936, the son of Donald Ferguson and Norma Evelyn (Massman) McCormick. He graduated from Amherst Central High School in 1954, and was a member of the Class of 1961 U.S. Naval Academy.
Mr. McCormick served proudly in the United States Navy. He retired as a partner from Lathrop Trotter Company in 2004 after 27 years of service. Ron was also a 10 year volunteer at the National Naval Aviation Museum.
Survivors include three children Elizabeth (Mark) Boltz of Coatesville, Ronald (Kelli) McCormick Jr. of Avon and Karen (Scott) Neville of Danville; sister Patricia Kirkstadt of Johnstown, PA; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Joan, his wife of 50 years; and a granddaughter Ashley.
At his request he was cremated.
