Robert's Story

Robert Harold "Bobby" Leak, Jr, 70 of Avon, IN, passed away Thursday, October 27, 2016.
He was born October 13, 1946 in Indianapolis, son of the late Robert Harold Leak, Sr. and Dorothy Alice (Higgins) Leak.
Bobby served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Iron Workers Local 22, the American Legion Avon Post 145, the National Rifle Association and the NHRA. He enjoyed shooting and hot rodding. He was highlighted in several hot rod magazines including #1 Chevy Engine Builder in Car Craft Magazine.
He is survived by his sister, Suzanne (Gregory, Sr.) Thompson of Pittsboro; nephew, Gregory A (Emily Babcock) Thompson, Jr of Brownsburg; niece, Gabrielle (Jason) Strawmyer of North Salem and great nieces and nephews, Trinity, Andrew and Sophia Thompson, and Samantha, Brayden & Alexyss Strawmyer.
Family and friends will gather Wednesday, November 2, 2016 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the Porter Funeral Home, Jamestown, Indiana. with Pastor Susan Shambaugh officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Lizton K of P Cemetery, Lizton, Indiana.
