Ralph H. Davis, 93, of Danville, passed September 18, 2017 at Danville Rehabilitation Center. Ralph was born August 29, 1924 in Natick, Mass. to Ralph and Dorothy (Wentz) Davis. He graduated from high school in Pennsylvania. After graduation he joined the U.S. Army serving his country from 1943-1946. Ralph later married Eleanor Mather in 1954 in Zionsville, PA. She preceded him in death on Feb. 16, 2007. Ralph worked for U.S. Gauge in Sellersville, PA until retiring with 40 years of service. After retiring he and Eleanor moved to Indiana to be close to family and friends.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Sept. 23 at Weaver & Randolph Funeral Home Danville with visitation from 11 a.m. until time of service. Burial will take place at Danville South Cemetery. Survivors include sons Steven (Terry) Davis of Danville, Jim (Bette) Davis of Monticello, Robert J. (Marilyn) Davis of Millsboro, Del.; brother Robert A. Davis of Zionsville, PA; 17 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 4 great great grand-children.
He is preceded in death by two sons, Charles E. Davis and John Davis as well as sister Marjorie Furman.
