Penny S. (Smith) Endres, 52, of Pittsboro, passed away peacefully November 20, 2016 surrounded by family after an extended illness with metastatic breast cancer.
Penny worked most of her adult life in the medical field as a financial administrator. She was a member of Venture Church. She had a passion for flower gardening, rescuing homeless animals and music.
Penny was preceded in death by her grandparents; her father, Jim Smith; and a stepfather, Thomas Cales.
She is survived by her husband, Edward Endres; mother, Patricia Cales; four legged son and daughters, Luke, Tulip, Daisy, Brenda; sisters, Teresa (Dan) Wilson, Celia (Donnie) White, Anita (Jason) Jones, Jacki (Rick) Sumner, Leslie (Larry) Duncan; brother, Greg (Nancy) Cales.
A celebration of Penny's life will be held on Wednesday, November 30, with visitation from 3 to 7 p.m. and a service at 7 p.m.
