Paul L. Crabtree, 80, of Avon passed away Oct 21,2017 after a long illness. He was born in Dayton, OH on Aug 8th,1937 to Burns & June (Christopher) Crabtree. Until his retirement he was a semi-driver for U.S. Corrugated in Lincoln, IL. for 35 years. He served in the U.S. Army for 2 yrs and was a member of American Legion and BPOElks in Lincoln,IL.
On Dec 9th 1961 he married Marge (Oxley) Crabtree. Surviving this union are; his wife,a son Roger (Sara) Crabtree and daughter Kelly (Mike) Crabtree-Patton. He was a loving grandpa "Poppy" to Erin (Taylor) Edmonds , MacKenzie Crabtree and Elise Patton. Three great-grandchildren, Wyatt & Madelyn Edmonds and Karli Crabtree.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and 2 sisters.
Conkle Funeral Home in Avon are in charge of his services. Visitation will be held there Thurs Oct 26th at 12-2pm with funeral following immediately after at 2 pm. Burial will be in Birdseye Cemetery in Birdseye, IN. with memorial rites at the gravesite Fri Oct 27th at 2pm.
