Mary's Story

Mary Alice (Benge) McCullough, 76, Plainfield, passed away peacefully August 31, 2017. She was born October 23, 1940 in Clermont, Indiana to the late Albert and Martha (Barnard) Benge.
Mary had five children Mark McCullough, Lori McCullough Cole, Craig McCullough, Lisa McCullough, and James (Jim) McCullough; 11 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.
Mary graduated from Granville Wells High School, Porter Business College, and Indiana University. She was employed by Merchants Bank, Schwitzer, and Indiana University. She also worked as a Realtor for F. C. Tucker before opening her own office, Real Estate Partners in 2006. Mary was an avid volunteer, supporting Girl and Boy Scouts, Meals on Wheels, and Friends of the Plainfield Library. She positively impacted the lives of everyone she met.
As a previous employee of Indiana University School of Medicine, she chose to donate her body to medical science and there will be no funeral services. The family will hold a Celebration of Life at The Gathering Together Hospice, 147 N Center St, Plainfield, Indiana on Sunday, October 22 from 2-5pm.
