Joella D. O'Neill, 89, of Danville, died Jan. 21 at Avon Healthcare. Joella was born Dec. 2, 1927, in San Antonio, TX to Egbert and Mary Elizabeth (Atkinson) Daniel. She was a high school graduate and attended North Texas State University. Joella married John Tucker, who preceded her in death. She later married John O'Neill, who also preceded her in death in 1991. Joella was a woman "ahead of her time." She was a former model, flew her own airplane, enjoyed big game hunting and was a real estate agent, owning the Central Indiana Real Estate Development Corp in Indianapolis from 1954-1978. She was a member of Metro Indianapolis Board of Realtors and the Delta Theta Tau Sorority. Services will be held at 7 p.m. Jan. 26 at Weaver and Randolph Funeral Home Danville with visitation from 5 p.m. until time of service. Burial will take place in Dalhart, Texas Cemetery.
Survivors include her daughter, Cheryl O'Neill of Danville; son, Sean O'Neill of San Antonio; two grandchildren and three step-grandchildren.
