Hilda Gail Slagle, age 65, of Avon, passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at her residence. Born October 16, 1951, in Danville, KY, she was the daughter of Robert and Essie (Fletcher) Wall. Her father preceded her in death.
Hilda was the move coordinator for CBRE. Previous to that, she was an I.T. manager for Hahn Systems. Hilda was a hard worker with a zest for life. She and her husband, Ray, enjoyed traveling, spending time with their children, and attending their grandchildren's various events. Anyone who knew Hilda has been positively impacted in some way. She was strong, courageous, energetic, dedicated, loving, kind, humble, proud, generous, and an exemplary role model for both her children and grandchildren. Hilda will be forever memorialized through her living legacy that will be celebrated for generations to come. Hilda exuded courage and grace as she chose to live her life to the fullest.
Survivors include her husband, Ray Slagle; her children: Michael (Cindy) Wathen, Robert (Megan) Wathen, Jaymie (Stephen) Popcheff, her step children: Kenny (Jacy) Slagle and Melanie Potter; her brother, Danny (Cindy) Wall; her sister, Phyllis (Jim) Plummer; her mother, Essie Wall and her 13 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted by Rev. Jon Lilly and Rev. Jason Wall Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 11:30 am in the Conkle Funeral Home, Avon Chapel, with calling Friday, May 26, 2017 from 4 to 8 pm at the funeral home. Entombment will be at West Ridge Park Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to German Shepherd Rescue of Indianapolis.
