Glen Marvin Tuel Glen Marvin Tuel, 71 of Pittsboro, IN passed away peacefully at home, September 12, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.
Mr. Tuel was born January 16, 1947 in Gary, Indiana to the late Owen and Lucile (Kepner) Tuel. He was a graduate of Gary Horace Mann High School and earned his undergraduate degree from Indiana State University and master's degree from Butler University. He was an elementary school principal for many years with the Speedway Public School System.
Glen married Susan (Bridgwater) on August 4, 1970, a loving union that would last over 48 years until his passing, with her at his side. He had been a member of the Pittsboro United Methodist Church, and his greatest joy in life was spending time with and supporting his family. Glen was an avid sports enthusiast, supporting his grandchildren's activities, cheering on his Butler Bulldogs, and coaching many youth-sports teams.
Together with his loving wife, Susan, survivors include his children, Erin (husband Anthony) Kirby, Sarah Tuel, Charles (wife Jennifer) Tuel, and grandchildren, Kyle (wife Rachel) Kirby, Kenna Kirby, Brayden Tuel, Jayson Tuel, and Brody Tuel.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Donna Powers and Gail Haas-McKinstry; and grandson, Kade Ryan Kirby.
Friends and family will gather from 4 until 7 pm, Monday, September 17, in the David A. Hall Mortuary, Pittsboro, IN, where Funeral Services will be held at 10 am, Tuesday, September 18. Burial will follow in the K of P Cemetery, Lizton, IN.
Memorial gifts have been suggested to the Tri-West Dollars for Scholars Program.
Arrangements and care of the Tuel family have been entrusted to Funeral Director, Eric MD Bell and the David A. Hall Mortuary, of Pittsboro, IN. Thoughts and memories may be shared with the family by visiting the funeral home's website:
