Eagle's Story

Eagle Bristol Shaw, 79, passed away July 13 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. Eagle was born to Lovel and Hazel Shaw on Aug. 30, 1937. Eagle was a member of the Plainfield Lodge No. 653 Masonic Lodge for fifty years. Eagle was married to his loving wife, Kitty, for 33 years but they were together for 38 years. He enjoyed piddling in the garage and restoring things to their previous glory. In Eagle's younger yearhs he enjoyed racing down gravel country roads. Eagle retired in 2006 from truck driving. He loved his dogs, labs that preceded him in death, Susie, Annie, Duke and J.R. Eagle is also survived by his white akita, Sasha, whom he loved dearly. Eagle is also survived by his loving wife, Kitty Shaw; one son, Rick Shaw; one stepson, John Disney; one stepdaughter, Joan Zichmund; one sister, Betty Hartsock and his granddaughter, Jessica Shaw. He is preceded in death by one brother, Dale Shaw.
Eagle will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life will be held at Plainfield's Swinford Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 26.
