Carl H. Smith, 92, Plainfield passed away on September 29, 2016 in Avon Healthcare. He was born on February 7, 1924 in Worthington, Indiana to Charles and Agnes Acton Smith. Carl was the widow of Helen Blanton Smith. He worked for Duke Energy retiring as a systems load supervisor in 1986 after 40 years. He also was a volunteer driver for the Hendricks County Senior Center for 12 years. Carl was an Army Aircorp veteran of WWII. He was a member of the Plainfield Christian Church, Plainfield American Legion, Plainfield Optimist Club and 66 Fighter Wing Association 8th Airforce. Calling hours will be held on Friday October 7, 2016 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Hall-Baker Funeral Home Plainfield. Funeral services will be on Saturday October 8, 2016 at 11 a.m. with Reverend Tim Gephart officiating. Burial with Military Rites will take place in Maple Hill Cemetery Plainfield. Survivors include his children Carla Jean Lange and Don Smith, 3 Grandchildren and 1 greatgrandchild. He was preceded in death by his two brothers Donald and Robert Smith, a grandson Cory Lange and a Daughter Charla Smith. Memorial contributions can be made Plainfield Optimist Club Youth Fund P.O.
